Balancing Act

i've bought some african black soap

(from Ghana- not the fake stuff),

made it into liquid soap, received my first body butter

(it's growing on me),

and received my 2G and 0G kits

AWESOME!

things are falling into place.

i'll see if i'm ready to add a wrap of tape

on my left lobe tomorrow, too.

so an update on my stretching process:

i have 2 wraps of tape around my ears

(woooot!)

not the best of tapes, but i have it on there.

granted, i want the healthiest lobes i can get.

i'm just in the worst self-reflection mood about myself

right now.

and i was frustrated that the teflon tape wasn't working for me

at the small 8G, at least

(i'll give it another go later down the road).

i wouldn't reccomend doing what i did, though.

it's so sticky and i'm constantly changing it!

i'm babying my ears TO DEATH once i get to 6G.

anyway, i'm excited to wear jewelry 

once i'm aesthetically pleased with a size.

i feel the steel tunnels with the rhinestones encircling it,

is like the rights of passage into the stretching world.

First Attempt at Taping 8G

took me AT LEAST 15 tries!

whoo, just getting used to the feel,

the length,

its thickness,

the crazy-delicateness of it!

but i FINALLY got roughly one layer around it,

lubed it SUPER well with jojoba,

and got it through without it bunching up on me.

two keywords when it comes to taping at smaller sizes:

TIGHT + LUBE

haha, kept having to redo it cause it would slide off.

but i got it.

once i get the hang of it, i might do a video.

THIS SUMMER, I WILL:

1. (out of all the piercings i want) GET MY PHILTRUM/MEDUSA PIERCING!!!
2. GET MY YARN BRAIDS!!!
3. STRETCH MY EARS AT LEAST 2 OR 3 SIZES!!!
4. EXPAND MY WARDROBE WETHER IT BE DYI OR SHOPPING!!!
5. MORE BODY JEWELRY!!!

** i'm yelling this because maybe if i'm more assertive toward myself, i'll actually get it done.

Ear Piercing Project

since i'm stretching my ears,

i've come to a satisfying conclusion

on my ear piercing arrangements!

• gonna get my left ear's secondary pierced (to match my right ear's and so i can have standard earrings fit, too)
• get my right rook pierced
• possibly my right tragus, but that's the least of my worries!

then i'll have 4 in each ear!

I DID Get Her to Say These Plugs Were Cute, Though

one third a point for me!

Snow Day and Simplicity

i think i'm getting sick of big meals

and fast food.

i'm finding out i much rather eat

some angel hair pasta w/sweet italian sausage ragu sauce

than eat cheeseburgers and fries right now.

i'll always be addicted to soda,

but i feel good when i drink water.

GREAT when it's iced tea.

i have two days off for snow days.

so i'm gonna organize myself,

my calendar

and look up these delicious-looking recipes

from the cooking channel!

ahaha!

i'll be stretching up soon!

told my mom about it and she's not happy.

i think she thinks in stereotype and craziness

so i made her an informative video.

we'll see where this goes.

Bodyartform + Dead Stretch

i was on the forms at BAF

and there was a poll on the best way to stretch your lobes.

a lot of people said dead stretching!

almost as many as tapers out there!

some did combinations.

i guess it REALLY matters about what mind frame you're in,

and what YOUR earlobes do,

and can even act up, or be VERY obedient

from stretch-to-stretch!

Size Up!

i never really found time before

to do a salt soak on any other piercing

but my navel.

but i tried it on my lobes just now

and i SWEAR my stubborn lobe

didn't look as fat/swollen.

i don't know if it's just a figment of my imagination

but it looks better,

more matched with my good left lobe.

natural medicines are amazing.

God has put some amazing things on this earth,

for us to use.

oh! and i've saved 44 pairs of:

plug, eyelets, and earskins

i'd like to buy one day from

bodyartform.

i THINK i might make my goal size a 0g.

we shall see.

First Ear Stretch Video Up!

i edited it all in one day.

hope it's decent!

i checked out my stubborn ear today

and it's still a bit sore and bruised-looking.

i'll see if i can find anything about it,

but i'll just wait a week or so

and see if it's really that serious.

Just an Update

the bantu knots while they're down!

so far, they're looking nice:

day 3 and no problems,

just need more scarves to cover up the back,

when it gets messy.

since my hair is curlier back there.

the other photo is what i shall replace in the (now) 14G

right lobe.

since the random pink tongue ring seems to scream:
